Kevin Ivey  Physical Therapist, Owner of Ivey Physical Therapy

​

Kevin is the fourth generation of the Ivey family here in Nevada County and a 1975 graduate of Nevada Union High School. He attended the University of Utah receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He has worked in Outpatient Orthopedic PT offices since graduation and has taken many courses in various aspects of orthopedics and sports injury rehabilitation. He has served as a coach for his kid's baseball, softball, and basketball teams and brings an understanding and expertise in speedy and effective rehabilitation. He volunteers his time and clinic to Nevada County Schools since 1995 for athletic injury rehabilitation and athletic training at games and practices. You can often find him on the sidelines at football, basketball, volleyball, and any other sports games where needed.

Kevin has a deep love for this community in which he was raised, and he finds joy in his friends and family. He enjoys building and flying model airplanes, woodworking, camping, fishing, hunting, and a little gardening.

Donna Ivey  Supervising Manager and Human Resources

Donna was born in Arizona but raised in Utah. She attended Brigham Young University where she met Kevin and they were married shortly after. She always knew they would move back to Nevada County and they have called it "home" for the last 23+ years. She and Kevin are the proud and happy parents of 6 children, all of whom graduated from Nevada Union High School like their dad. No matter what else Donna has done in her life, her greatest accomplishment is raising children that have become honest, hard-working adults.

When Donna is not in the office, she enjoys crafting, reading, and spending as much time as she can with her 17 grandchildren.

Lin Coleman  Physical Therapy Assistant, CLT-LANA

​

Lin Coleman is a State licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and Nationally Certified Lymphedema Specialist whose passion is in empowering people to live well, manage and prevent Lymphedema through education, self care, and proper treatment. She has been trained in the top two lymphedema clinics in Europe- Vodder Clinic in Austria in 1987 and Foeldi Klinik in Germany in 1996- and is certified by those clinics. She has started 4 hospital programs including Stanford Hospital Lymphedema program. Lin felt that the western allopathic medical model had limitations in the care of cancer patients, so she then started studying alternative methods that could be adjunct therapies. This led to self evaluation, mobilizing and developing internal energies with Tai Chi and Qi Gong for healing.

 

When Lin is not busy healing lives, you can find her spending time with her sweetie, hiking, gardening, and playing with her pets.

Darcy Barnett  Physical Therapy Assistant

​

As a licensed PTA, Darcy has been learning and sharing her knowledge with patients for seven years. She graduated with honors from Sacramento City College Physical Therapist Assistant Program. She has built her skill set in an orthopedic setting with an emphasis in manual therapy and bio mechanics. She has been blessed with rich mentorship and continues to thrive by adding pearls to her treatments with continuing education courses. Darcy has a thirst for knowledge and most importantly is driven to share this with her patients. Compassionately she strives to empower her patients to over come their limitations and facilitates optimum functional potential. She focuses on creating an individualized program for each patient, so they are then equipped with the tools they need to continue independently once PT is complete. Darcy has extensive training in Pilates, manual therapy, neuro re-education, aquatic therapy, post-op orthopedic surgical rehabilitation and is certified in the Strength After Breast Cancer program.

 

Darcy enjoys time spent with her family, her dog Lucy, playing in the dirt gardening, hiking and time at the river.

Alicia Marchand  Physical Therapy Assistant

​

Alicia earned her PTA degree from South University in Savannah, GA in 2013 and has primarily worked in outpatient orthopedics. Recently, she returned from volunteering in Germany as a PTA for active duty military members. Alicia has taken a variety of continuing education classes and relishes every advantage to continue to learn and grow as a physical therapy assistant.

When not at work, Alicia spends her time with her daughter and their dog, hiking, paddle boarding, and going to the river.

Suzanne Burleson  Billing and Insurance

​

Sue grew up in the Bay Area and has only been in Grass Valley for a few short years. She has worked in the health insurance industry for the past 20 years as a customer service representative, hospital claims processor and insurance verification specialist.

​

Sue enjoys camping, making jewelry, volley ball and spending all the time she can with her grandson.
